The riders taking part from Kesteven all rose to the challenge and produced outstanding performances in their individual events. For some riders, this was their first time taking part in a National Championships and all agreed that it was a very special event.
Sophie Taylor riding “A Little Bit O’ Magic” aka Rosie won her class scoring 91%, an amazing round which made her the highest scoring rider in this event over the entire weekend and Overall Champion.
Instructor, Karen Thompson, commented “All the riders produced first class performances. They have all been working very hard towards these Championships since qualifying at the Regionals and every single one of them rode their hearts out. I am very proud of them all and it was lovely to be back at the Championships after missing last year. Thanks to all the backstage crew who worked so hard to make sure that both the ponies looked fabulous as usual.”
Kate Hunter rode a lovely dressage test on “Painted Lady” aka Cosmo and, with 77%, gained the highest score of the weekend in the Dressage section.
