About Kesteven Rideability
Kesteven Rideability was formed in 1988 to offer subsidised horse riding to disabled adults and children in the Kesteven area. Over the years the group has expanded from the intial four riders to the present level of over 100 members.
The group offers a proven pathway of success from grass roots therapeutic riding to competing at Paralympic level. Activities include weekly riding sessions, riding holidays in Wales and competing at regional and national level. Day centres and schools use our facilities to provide a exciting and adventurous outdoor activity for their clients/students.
Volunteers are always needed to help our members benefit from this interactive and progressive therapy - the magical bond between horse and rider.
The group is managed by an enthusiastic committee who meet every six weeks to plan activities and fund-raising events. Riding sessions take place on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and there are four instructors registered with the group.
